E-Textbooks not as effective as paper textbooks
Nicholas Carr reports that e-textbooks don’t work as well as paper ones. I find this argument pretty convincing from my own experience. Also, there’s a book called “The Book of Memory - A Study of Memory in Medieval Culture” that makes the case that the illustrations and illuminations, and the physical aspect of Medieval books were there to help readers remember what they read. A very similar effect to the ones you can get with paper but not e-readers.
